Description
The SCRS-25ica brings famous Pro Audio Technology output and thrilling dynamics to installations where the opportunity for wall-mount or behind-the-screen LCR positioning is unavailable. The 25ica in-ceiling loudspeaker employs genuine professional-grade drivers, including a high frequency compression driver mounted on a proprietary horn along with dual high-power 5” woofers for dynamics and SPL that belies its size. The angled baffle allows the loudspeaker to be located in the ceiling near the video monitor with the ability to direct the sound forward into the room to the listening area (refer to the drawing for details on the coverage pattern). The 25ica can be operated with a single amp channel using the included passive crossover network, or it can bi-amped.
Designed for retrofit applications, the 25ica employs PRO’s proprietary MonoClamp™ design which allows the speaker to be installed in a matter of seconds with nothing more than a Philips screwdriver. To insure the loudspeaker will work in all types of home or commercial construction, the 25ica will fit, in either orientation, within 12” OC joists and is less than 8” deep with back box. Any ceiling material thickness can be accommodated by simply changing the length of a few screws and an all-metal optional back-box is available. Like all Pro Audio Technology loudspeakers, the SCRS-25ica requires PRO amplification as DSP is required in all operating modes.
